An encouraging start to the gents season at Glenralloch with twenty one players taking part in the first round of the Fyne Tankard. Calum McLean set the early pace , returning to the clubhouse with a net 63 and a precious magic 2 at the 12th hole. Hot on his heals was Peter McLean jnr who returned a net 66 including birdies at the 1st and 18th.  In joint third place was Malcolm McAlpine, returning to Glenralloch after a long lay off, who along with Vice President Eric McDougall returned a net 67.

Best scratch scores on the day were from Bruce MacNab on 73, Peter McLean jnr on 75 and Iain Macalister on 78. Hopefully the temperatures will increase and in turn give some much needed growth to the greens.

The second and final round takes place next weekend with all the usual ballot times in operation.

The TT100 Nancy Glen Open is filling up fast and anyone wishing to play should call at the clubhouse or phone 07799504790 to book their place.
